Simmered Kabocha Recipe

It’s getting cold.
How about something easy and delicious hot side-dish?

This is an easy real-Japanese home cooking with simple ingredients,
that you can try in Denmark or elsewhere in the world. ^_^

Simmered Kabocha

Ingredients

-Kabocha 400cc
-Water 200cc
-Japanese soy sauce  ½ tbsp (10g)
(please use only Japanese soy sauce, no chinese/korean/thai soy sauce or fish or oyster sauce. )

-Brown or White Sugar 1 tbsp (13g)
-*Dashi  ½ tsp  *optional. fish stock powder, as shown in a box blow.

Soy sauce can be found here! They have all different types of soy sauce.

How To Cook

1, Cut it into smaller pieces, and remove the seeds.

2.Slice off the skins. Skin is very hard, be careful.

3. Cut into 1 or 2 bites pieces.

4. Put kabocha, soy sauce and sugar, water, *dashi in a pot. Simmer medium heat 10mins, low heat 10mins.
