Post Nord Mystery

Post Nord in Denmark

This happened to me not only once, but several times.
I was 100% home, but they just write a note and “you’re not home. Please come pick up.”

I live on the 4th floor – agree, it sucks. Going up stairs to the 4th floor, truly sucks.
I totally understand that Post Nord don’t wanna either…especially -usually- nobody is home during the day. But it’s their job to deliver a package, and hey…some people are home.

So when I went to pick up my package, I told them about this “incident” ….. a man say I should send a notification /complain to Post Nord Headquarter.  uh… buddy but this is someone from your branch, cheating…. it was a weird response I thought.

hummm.

It’s just really annoying that I have to manage my limited time, to pick up package, that I could have gotten at a door yesterday.

Has this happened to you?
Is there any system that we can notify Post Nord that we’re at home?

In my post office they have another (and plausible) explanation: some companies use PostNord like a drop-off point. Not for delivery to your door. It makes it cheaper for them that YOU go the extra (last) miles…

It took me some time to realise that, in their own interest and for better understanding, they should use another type of note.

I suggest you send them a mail telling them that – and that you can sell them a happy delivery cartoon in the process 🙂

Oh yeah, Post Nord really sucks sometimes. And it’s not just because you’re on the 4th floor. I have lived on the first floor and the ground floor and have gotten those slips more times than I’ve gotten a package directly.

Oh come oooooon is it that difficult to go up to the 1st floor!? I may send this cartoon link to Post Nord. They need to do something about this (-_-)

  3. Yes, that has happened. Which is why I no longer wish to pay for to-home delivery. But then, I am also often not home, in which case I have to wait an extra day for the mail-man to finish his road and eventually leave it at the post office, when I could just have picked it up from them the day before.

I think we’re going more towards location-pick up. I wish I had the choice for International package too. (a box will be heavy so I need to get my husband to pick up after work. )

its a common thing, unfortunately, i’ve started reporting it, fully expecting nothing to ever come of it.
on the other hand, they way postnord is going, its not gonna be around for all that long anyways
